With California and most of the country opening back up, now is the time to plan your summer activities. Here is a list of concerts, plays, and events to check out this summer in the Bay Area.

Educational Happenings:
Bay Area Discovery Museum: The Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM) is a space for imagination to run wild! Located at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge on 7.5 acres of National Park land in Sausalito, BADM features exhibition spaces and daily programs for children ages 6 months to 10 years. Advanced ticket reservations are required due to limited capacity.
California Academy of Sciences: Life-changing moments. World-changing science. Cal Academy of Sciences is an aquarium, planetarium, rainforest, and natural history museum located in the heart of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park—and a powerful voice for biodiversity research and exploration, environmental education, and sustainability across the globe.
The de Young and Legion of Honor Museum: The collections at the Legion of Honor offer unique insight into the art historical, political, and social movements of the previous 4,000 years of human history. Holdings include: European paintings; European decorative arts and sculpture; ancient art from the Mediterranean basin; and one of the largest repositories of works of art on paper in the nation.
Pittsburg Historical Museum: Today the museum hosts a large collection of artifacts, historical photos, a well organized library of papers, maps, and reference books.
Amusement Parks:
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor: More commonly known as Waterworld - Concord, this waterpark is filled with over 20 rides and attractions. You must pre-schedule your visit prior to attending.
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom: Experience Northern California's most thrilling theme park filled with over 45 exciting rides, shows, and attractions. Park is now open to California residents only.
California’s Great America: Currently only open on weekends from 11am-7pm, this South Bay favorite offers big thrills for the whole family.
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk: The arcades are open 7 days per week, with amusement park rides open only on weekends from 11am-9pm with reservations. Check out the calendar to see what’s available before you go.
