Bars, Wineries, Breweries, and Distilleries

Indoor service for establishments without meals may begin at 50% capacity and can seat up to eight people per table without limitations to the number of households.

Indoor Family Entertainment

Activities including ice and roller skating, arcades, golf, playgrounds, mini-golf, pool halls, movie theaters, and bowling alleys may open or expand to 50% capacity.

Outdoor Community Sporting Events and Spectator Sports

Masks may still be required so check event websites before attending. Outdoor events like runs, walks, marathons, and other endurance events can have up to 1,500 participants (3,000 participants with proof of vaccination). These also include outdoor spectator sports like baseball at Oracle Park or at Oakland Coliseum.

Indoor/Outdoor Ticketed & Seated Performances and Other Live Events

Indoor ticketed and seated events—such as live sports, theater arts, and musical performances—may expand up to 50% capacity, provided that the venue has an approved health and safety plan and the State’s social distancing guidelines can be maintained. Masks are mandatory unless when eating and drinking.

Outdoor ticketed and seated events with live audiences may expand up to 67% capacity, provided that the venue has an approved health and safety plan and the State’s social distancing guidelines can be maintained. Masks are mandatory unless when eating and drinking. Organized outdoor arts and performance events may be held without reservations and seating requirements for up to 50 audience members.

Some of our favorite theaters include: Shoreline Amphitheatre, Concord Pavilion, San Francisco Opera House, California Shakespeare Theater, and Lesher Center for the Arts.

Meetings and Private Events

Indoor private events—such as meetings, conventions, weddings and receptions—may resume with up to 200 attendees. Attendees must provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test. Face coverings are still required. Outdoor private events for up to 400 people may also resume provided they follow the same guidelines.

Indoor dining capacity will expand to 50%. The cap of 200 patrons is lifted. Tables are still limited to eight people without any limitation on the number of households.
