Kiwanis Danville Parade September 4

This year's parade theme is Honoring Our Healthcare Workers to pay thanks to the countless professionals who dedicated their lives to serving others during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Orinda Classic Car Show September 11

In 2005, Orinda residents Chip Herman and John Vanek, backed by Orinda Motors, partnered to start the Orinda Classic Car Show to bring together the local classic car community and raise money for local charities including Seniors Around Town transportation program, the Educational Foundation of Orinda, and the Orinda Historical Society. Over the past 16 years, substantial funds have been raised for local charities.

The Walnut Festival September 23 - 26

In 1936, the harvest celebration became known as The Walnut Festival. The Walnut Festival Association was officially incorporated in 1938 and except for a suspended period during World War II, has been celebrated as the popular annual community event it remains today. As Walnut Creek has grown, and suburban developments have replaced walnut groves, the Walnut Festival Association has maintained the tradition of producing fundraising events for the benefit of the community. With rides, art, parade, and lots of food, this is a family-friendly event that can’t be missed.

Pear and Wine Festival September 25

The annual Pear and Wine Festival is a community event celebrating the Moraga’s heritage and fall harvest. This family-friendly event features kid’s activities, community booths, fall harvest treats, and more. The event is typically held on the 3rd Saturday in September.

Thirsty Thursday in the Vineyards September 2

Enjoy great music, great wine, and great food with friends and family the first Thursday of every month at Hannah Nicole Vineyards. Your ticket to this event includes a meal, live music, and a glass of wine/beer. Additional wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks are available for purchase. A ticket is not required for the event. Our caterer will bring a small amount of extra meals for purchase. Tickets at the door are $30.

Movie Under the Stars September 10

Moraga Parks & Recreation are happy to bring you a screening of Monsters, Inc. at the Moraga Commons. Make sure to bring blankets to sit on and snacks to munch on during the movie.

Movie Night in the Vineyards - ET September 23

See a movie under the stars at Hannah Nicole Vineyards. Relax with the family at this free event. Whether you‘re a wine lover, a beer drinker, or a little one coming with your parents to enjoy the movie, they have bundle packages for you to choose from. They will also sell wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and movie snacks on the same night as the movie.

Walnut Creek Fall 2021 Plant Swap September 25

Meet 40 plant people from the Contra Costa plant community and grow your plant collection.

Your ticket grants you admission to the Swap, access to the Garden, and a chance to win plants and accessories by our giveaway partners. It'll be mighty fun!

Refreshments will be served and we will follow the County's latest recommendations on masks.

Music Night at Sideboard September 29

Wednesday’s Performance: Headless Barbies, a local Bay Area rock band. The band performs at local street parties attracting crowds and creating spontaneous dance parties by playing an eclectic mix of rock, punk, and metal from the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s, and ‘00s.
