  • STAND! For Families Free of Violence: STAND! is a catalyst for breaking the multi-generational cycle of violence, promoting safe and strong relationships, and rebuilding lives. They are committed to promoting safe and strong families. Their approach to eliminating family violence is well-rounded and community-wide. In addition to providing a complete spectrum of prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, they also enlist the efforts of local residents, partners, and institutions, all of whom are striving to stop domestic violence and child abuse.

  • Love-A-Child Missions: Homeless shelter for women and children who provides emergency shelter, food, clothing, substance recovery programs, job training, educational support, and more.

FURNITURE

  • Pleasanton Discovery Shop: American Cancer Society Discovery Shop locations help support the fight against cancer through the sale of high quality, gently used, donated merchandise. For 55 years, the Society has owned and operated these specialty upscale resale stores, featuring items such as clothing, accessories, jewelry, furniture, artwork, antiques, collectibles, and other household items. American Cancer Society Discovery Shop locations are in need of your gently used clothing, shoes, jewelry, housewares, and furniture. Your donations are tax-deductible and all proceeds support the American Cancer Society.

APPLIANCES

  • Habitat for Humanity ReStore Concord: Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Habitat for Humanity ReStores are proudly owned and operated by local Habitat for Humanity affiliates, and proceeds are used to build homes, community, and hope locally and around the world. All appliances must be fewer than seven years old and in perfect operating condition. They are unable to accept used fireplaces and no longer accepting dishwashers, trash compactors, double-ovens, or built-in ovens. Cosmetically, items should be nearly spotless both inside and out.

ANIMAL PRODUCTS

  • Contra Costa County Humane Society: Their mission is to improve the quality of life for animals, decrease euthanasia rates, and educate the public to foster with compassion, responsibility, and respect for animals. Gladly accepting cat/dog food, beds, medications, flea and tick control, toys, kitty litter, plastic shopping bags, collars, leashes, office supplies, and more.

  • Jelly’s Place Animal Rescue and Adoption: Jelly's Place is a community nonprofit rescue and no-kill shelter located in San Pablo. They rescue, provide veterinary care, and placement for abandoned, impounded, sick, or injured dogs and cats. They provide community education and assistance to low-income pet owners to keep their pets, and educate the public about the plight of dogs and cats in the meat industry in Asia. We work closely with partner rescues, especially Slaughterhouse Survivors in Habin, China, to save dogs and cats from the meat trade. Gladly accepting donations of Iams dog food, NutriSource Cat and Kitten food, puppy training pads, clumping cat litter, pea gravel, and clean blankets and towels.

  • ARF Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation: Rescuing both sides of the leash. Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) is an award-winning, nationally recognized leader for its unique mission of People Rescuing Animals… Animals Rescuing People®. Gladly accepting cleaning supplies, medical supplies, animal supplies, cat supplies, dog supplies, humane education supplies, and office supplies.

CLEANING PRODUCTS/PAINT/HAZARDOUS WAIST

Habitat for Humanity ReStores are proudly owned and operated by local Habitat for Humanity affiliates, and proceeds are used to build homes, community, and hope locally and around the world. ReStore Oakland accepts paint for recycling purposes.

  • Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library: Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization. We have an extensive inventory of gently used books, DVDs, CDs and audio books as well as games, puzzles, and other niche items. All proceeds will go towards programs, books, resources, and services for the new library.

  • Savers: Declutter responsibly. We're a for-profit thrift retailer that proudly accepts your donations of clothing and household goods on behalf of local nonprofits. Currently accepting books & media, clothing & shoes, small furniture, small appliances, and housewares.
