What We LOVE: Living in the East Bay

Location, location, location

We could not be in a better location living in the East Bay area of San Francisco. The top reason our agents love living here is the proximity to everything “the Bay” has to offer.

With the Napa and Sonoma Valley wineries approximately a 1.5-hour drive or Livermore wineries about a 45-minute drive, one thing is for sure, we love our vineyards! With more to do than just wine tasting, this beautiful region has amazing hiking, biking, trains, concerts, events, and so much more.

San Francisco is 1-hour away by BART or car. Once there, you can explore all the city has to offer; from a vibrant arts scene, to the culturally diverse neighborhoods, fabulous food, high-end shopping, and historical landmarks. One could spend the day riding the Cable Cars, exploring Fort Mason, walking across the Golden Gate Bridge, visiting Alcatraz, eating the BEST tacos in the Mission, or simply walking the Embarcadero and watching the day go by with the local sea lions.

Without the hustle and bustle of city life and high rise living, having San Francisco at our fingertips is a top reason to love living in the East Bay.

Lake Tahoe is about a 3-hour drive from the Bay Area and many flock to Tahoe for vacations, long weekends, and day trips. Learn why one of our Dudum agents, Kristen Pepin, loves living there full-time.

“I love the small-town vibe, with a community of like-minded entrepreneurs, tradesmen, musicians, and outdoor enthusiasts that work hard, play harder, celebrate life together, and support each other. I've never experienced a community of people that is so solid and really cares about each other, their health, needs, businesses, etc. The community steps up to help and support each other and protect our environment.

I love the off season. It gives us time to enjoy, rest, regroup, and appreciate all things Tahoe in a quieter environment. Although, even in peak tourist time you can still always find a place to escape and something to do.

I also love how diverse Tahoe is. The four sides are so different, it makes for endless options of things to do and see. The difference between North Lake and South Lake especially.

However, the thing I love most about living in Tahoe is that whenever I leave, I am never upset that the vacation is over and I have to go home. My home is like being on a vacation every day.”

Few places on earth can live up to their own mythology, but Monterey is a notable exception. No matter what you’ve heard or seen in feature films, nothing can prepare you for the jaw-dropping beauty along Monterey's fabled coast and village-like pedestrian thoroughfares. Iconic attractions like Cannery Row, Old Fisherman's Wharf, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium have helped make Monterey a favorite destination for visitors from around the world.

East Bay agents and residents also flock to 17-Mile Drive and the famed Pebble Beach Golf Club and Resort every year for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am (scheduled February 8th - February 14th, 2021). When not attending tournaments, many take their shot on the links visiting the beautiful Spyglass Hill Golf Course, Pebble Beach Golf Links, and Monterey Peninsula Country Club.
