90’s COMEDY NIGHT November 3

7th annual Break a Sweat for Education® 5K Run & Walk is an excellent opportunity for you, your friends, and your family to help raise money and awareness for a great cause. We warmly welcome all ages and skill levels to participate in the Run/Walk. And whether you're an athlete or an observer, you'll enjoy the entertainment we have for both children and adults.

ORCHARD NURSERY HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE November 4

Explore what our local nursery has to offer. You’ll find holiday plants and trees to decorations and more. Support local, shop local.

PENS OF THE PANDEMIC BOOK LAUNCH November 5

This 260-page anthology featuring 159 stories, essays and poems from 80 young writers is but a small sampling of all the incredible writing we collected on our blog, Pens of the Pandemic, over the course of the past 18 months. In this book, you will get a glimpse into the inspiring courage, creativity and resilience of young people.

ART GALLERY AT THE ORINDA LIBRARY November 6

The Lamorinda Arts Council organizes and curates in-person and virtual monthly exhibits in the Art Gallery at the Orinda Library and in the Art Gallery at Wilder. All exhibits primarily highlight local artists or displays of educational/community interest and are changed both in-person and online at the beginning of every month.

FUNDRAISER FOR THE DISCOVERY BAY TREE November 11

Enjoy a Night of Bunco, Proceeds will go towards the Holiday Tree Fund. Bunco, Pizza, and drink Ticket for Just $30 in advance or $35 at the door.

GLOWFARI AT THE OAKLAND ZOO November 11

Glowfari is back with hundreds of new, larger-than-life animal lanterns throughout the Zoo and we want you to be one of the first to experience this event before the general public. This year features new displays including the desert with camels and bighorn sheep, an African safari adventure with elephants, giraffes, and an 8-foot crocodile head, Asian forests to meet red and giant pandas, and a land of bugs featuring a 65-foot Queen Ant Tunnel! The Rides Area will be open for you to visit Santa and ride the Express Train through our Winter Wonderland.

COUNTRY LINE DANCING AT CAMPOS VINEYARDS November 12

Live instruction to your favorite country music songs! Tables are available to purchase as an add on to your general admission ticket. General Admission Tickets are required in addition to the table for every person in your group.

ORINDA WOMEN’S CLUB FUNDRAISER November 18

A new casual fashion show with three fashion houses: Chico's - chic, unique women's clothing, Harper Greer - eclectic mix of fabulous fashions, and Mahsa - understated yet bold designs. This event is hosted at the San Ramon Marriott Hotel, lunch provided, with fun raffle prizes and more.

JURASSIC PARK GEOLOGY November 21

Join us as we explore 180 million years of geologic history on Mount Diablo. What do the summit of Mount Diablo and the Marin Headlands have in common? How is Sentinel Rock in Rock City related to Yosemite’s El Capitan? Find the answers we car caravan on North and South Gate Roads to visit different areas with fascinating geology and take short hikes to see rocks, landforms, and fossils.

LIGHTING OF THE OLD OAK TREE, DANVILLE November 26

Lighting of the Old Oak Tree is a tradition with strong roots in the Town of Danville. The celebration of Father Christmas, Snow Angel, music, and merriment makes for a great way to launch your holiday, all the way down to the last bite of a tasty Christmas cookie.

38TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARADE, BRENTWOOD November 27

Miracle On Oak Street - In partnership with The City of Brentwood, the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce is excited to host the 38th Annual Holiday Parade.

RAISING THE BAR FUNDRAISER & TEACHER TRIBUTE November 2

Join the Sydney Paige Foundation at their “Raising the Bar” fundraiser and local teacher tribute. Enjoy drinks, appetizers, music and bid on silent and live auction items led by the Warriors “Hype Man” Franco Finn. Three outstanding Lamorinda teachers will be recognized for their contributions at the event.

THE ROSSMOOR BIG BAND SHOW & DANCE November 3

Are people always telling you your ribs are the BEST around? Or maybe you’re looking to take your BBQ skills to the next level. Cook up some of your best chicken and ribs and participate in Rivertown’s 4th Annual Backyard BBQ Competition at the Rivertown BBQ Cook-off and Fall Fest event on Saturday, October 2 in downtown Antioch.

THE BEST OF ART & WINE November 4

SAN FRANCISCO SKI & SNOWBOARD FESTIVAL November 5-7

This year, the Ski & Snowboard Festivals enter their 14th season. Ski and snowboard enthusiasts will once again come together in an interactive atmosphere. Highlights will include, interactive ski resort displays, new industry brands, sports entertainment displays and the largest winter sale of the season.

ORINDA ROTARY'S 2ND ANNUAL FRIED CHICKEN DINNER FUNDRAISER November 9

Casa Orinda is serving its famous specialty for this takeout event.
Dinners can be picked up at the time you select with your order below.
Each meal includes four pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, a vegetable, a biscuit and a holiday cookie. Monies raised from this event support Orinda Rotary and the community projects the club supports. Orinda Rotary supports: The Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano, Meals on Wheels, Orinda schools, Seniors Around Town, and international humanitarian projects.

THE NUTCRACKER BALLET November 12-13

The 28th Season opens with the new full-length production of Julia Adam’s smash holiday hit, The Nutcracker Suite with newly designed costumes and sets. The Diablo family and their daughter Clara, return to the Nutcracker Suite at the Fairmont Hotel for another Christmas Eve adventure! Clara’s dream expands taking her on a magical journey through the land of sweets for a full-length evening of dance and will include students from Diablo Ballet School. See what unfolds in this whimsical ballet that will delight all ages.

The Goodguys shows are for all Hot Rod and Classic Car fans alike. Whether it's your first show or tenth trip out we are very excited to have you come out for the day or stay for the whole weekend!

4TH ANNUAL MCC TURKEY TROT November 25

Bring your family, bring your friends and enjoy the start of your Thanksgiving Day with the 4th Annual MCC Turkey Trot Fun Run. Your race contributions go to the Food Banks of Contra Costa & Solano Counties.
