Pittsburg Christmas Parade Dec 11
The annual Pittsburg community Christmas Parade is back in 2021. City dignitaries, community service groups, Santa Clause, and the renowned Pittsburg High School Marching Band will perform.
Walnut Creek Running Festival Dec 11
Walnut Creek's Running Festival is back, starting on the streets of downtown Walnut Creek in 2021 with its flat and fast 5K and 10K loop courses. Runners will experience the gorgeous surroundings while enjoying running through some of Walnut Creek's nicest parks, full of color on its trees at this time of year. Runners will receive the famous long sleeve running tech shirt and our commemorative finishers medal for their accomplishment. The festival area will treat runners to several exhibitors in the local sports industry along with our famous DJ who will be joining us again. Don't miss it. We welcome you back to this tradition of running in Walnut Creek.
35th Annual Tree of Lights Moraga Tree Lighting Dec 12
Hospice East Bay has been caring for patients and their families in our community since 1977. They are proud to be celebrating their 35th annual Tree of Lights ceremony to honor loved ones through the symbolism of light and the reading of their names.
DBYC Lighted Boat Parade Dec 12
The lighted boat parade will have 20+ boats decorated for the holidays and will be visible from Newport Ln and Kellogg Creek.

A Roaring Holiday Concert and Fundraising Event Saturday, December 18th from 6 to 9:30pm. Featuring Vocalist Eve Marie Shahoian with trio Frank Martin, Marc Levine, Mike Williams. Special Guest Flutists Carol Alban and Nancy Tyler. Jazz • Swing • Holiday Classics Come as a flapper or come as you are dress as a gangster or silent screen star. The Children’s Light Parade with a free special light wand for kids. Wands will be handed out at 5:30pm at Martinez City Hall to the first 400 children. Parade starts at 6:30pm, starting at City Hall and will last 9 blocks around town.

Deck the Hulls Dec. 4
Deck the hulls, bow to stern, it’s the event we’ve all been long to yearn. One of the most exciting winter events of the year, the lighted boat parade. Enter your yacht in the festivities or enjoy the view from the Oakland Yacht Club clubhouse. There will drinks and company of plenty.

It's a Wonderful Life in Lafayette Lafayette Tree Lighting Dec 5
The “It’s a Wonderful Life in Lafayette” event is presented by the Lafayette Chamber, who is hosting the environmentally-friendly downtown Lafayette twinkle lights for the 2021 Holiday Season.
Ongoing Events:
Everyone’s favorite attraction is coming to Civic Park in Walnut Creek from 12/10-1/9. This outdoor spectacle is fun to observe and great fun for the whole family to participate in. Not only are there open skate times but there is also an Ice Skating Academy that offers 30 minute lessons followed by 30 minutes of practice time, and Hockey Games that are available for drop ins - following all pond hockey rules.
Enjoy the outdoor skating rink at the Veranda shopping center in Concord off of Diamond Blvd. The rink holds up to 100 people at a time. Skate reservations can be made in advance to ensure your skate time, however, walk up reservations are still welcome.

Express your creativity, promote your business or support your community by purchasing and decorating a live Christmas tree in the City of Brentwood Deck the Park Christmas Tree Decorating Contest. Located at City Park, this holiday event is quickly becoming a Brentwood tradition.
Tree decorators will vie for awards in the following categories: Most Creative, Most Whimsical, Best Community Flavor, People’s Choice, and Mayor’s Choice.
If you just want to see the lights decorating finished on 12/17 and will be available for viewing from 12/18-1/3.
The Kristi Yamaguchi Holiday Ice Rink:
The seasonal outdoor skating rink is situated at the southeast corner of City Center Bishop Ranch on the corner of Bollinger Canyon and Camino Ramon. Complimentary parking is available in the City Center parking garage. Available for skating from 11/17-1/2. You can also reserve the ice for private parties
