Community Spotlight: Clayton

Why Clayton?

Clayton has spectacular views of Mount Diablo and has a quaint little downtown that offers a strong sense of community with a small town feel. There is plenty of access to amazing hiking trails where you are sure to run into someone you know or meet a new friend. There are also a lot of family events that take place in town square, from summer concert nights to hotrod shows and the annual Octoberfest, there’s always something happening in Clayton.

Things To Do

Picnic at the Grove: Stop by the Village Market to pop in and grab picnic supplies then head into the park and set up on the grass or at one of the picnic tables.

Marsh Creek Springs Park: This park encompasses 3,659 acres of natural habitat, wildlife, and different cultural features. The historic John Marsh Home is the first American citizen to settle in what is now known as Contra Costa County. You can rent the space for events or for a beautiful wedding venue.

Curry Creek Park: A hot spot for those with families, the park offers a swimming pool under the oaks, baseball field, and picnic facilities.

Oktoberfest: Known as Northern California’s Premiere Oktoberfest. The yearly fest offers multiple activities, traditional Beirgarten, live music, Bavarian dancers, carnival, and plenty of beer! This is fun for the whole family, plenty of different vendors, face painters, traditional foods, and great people watching.
